    Description

Offered is this antique document on light blue paper from Floyd County, Georgia, an administrator's bond dated October 4th, 1858. The bond concerns the estate of Stephen Green. Three men are mentioned; two are John Smith and John Payne, with the third having the initials P. L. but I can't tell what the last name is (see photos #2 & #4). The ordinary judge is Jesse Lamberth. The back of the document contains filing information as well as some additional handwriting (see last two photos). This is a somewhat uncommon find; pre-Civil War documents from the South often did not survive the war.
The document is approx. 12 1/2" x 8". It is in good to very good condition, with no holes or tears. It is heavily creased along the folds and is slightly ragged along the edges, with a small bit missing in the lower-left corner.
    It will be sent folded.
