Exquisitely Hand Carved Small Mary & Jesus Cameo Brooch/Pendant Set in 800 Silver Marcasite Frame!
This auction as stated is for an absolutely museum quality hand carved cameo brooch or pendant. In this particular, the cameo is a hand carved portrait of the Mother Mary holding the infant Jesus in her arms. For a smaller cameo the detailing is extremely good including the halos above both Mary’s and Jesus’ head. It is set in a silver frame made of 800 silver and has set all around the frame 8 marcasite to glimmer and catch the light. It is either a brooch with the pin in back as well as a pendant as there is a loop at the top that comes up to put a chain through it. It measures 1” x 3/4” or 25 x 18mm. It is stamped on the back with the 800 number. It is in perfect condition. Whatever special occasion, this will make a terrific gift for your special someone or for that matter, yourself!
