Hi, Here is a vintage composition doll by Madame Alexander who was made in around the 1940's I believe and who measures 14" tall. She is "Karen Ballerina" in her original outfit including shoes, underpants and tagged ballerina dress. Her hair is in the original style with pink velvet flowers decorating her coiled braids, and the same velvet flower bouquet at her waist. She has black velvet ribbons on each wrist and at her neck, the wrist bands are attached to her skirt so she can hold out her ballet dress, which is made of what looks like silk or rayon tulle with gold metallic rick rack trim. I did remove her flowers and shoulder ribbons from her dress to soak it as the pink had become somewhat brown, but it was soaked only, no color added, then the ribbons and flowers were sewn back into place. Her stringing is slightly loosened over time so her arms don't stay up very high now. Her shoes are original and tie at each ankle, wrapped around her ankles as a ballerina's shoes do. The dress closes in back with snaps. Her sleep eyes have their lashes still but don't rock as freely as some, but they still do work. The composition finish shows slight crazing but isn't cracked or peeling. Please see all of the photos and ask me any questions you may have, I will be happy to answer. She is a very beautiful doll. She doesn't have a stand. US shipping would be .00 by priority mail insured. Thank you for looking...Margie
