Outstanding Antique Scenic Cameo Brooch In Ornate Ormolu Setting

This gorgeous antique scenic cameo measures an impressive 1-3/4" across by just over 1-1/2" long with the entire brooch measuring 3-1/8" wide by 2-1/2" long!  This masterfully carved cameo is set in a stunning ormolu buckle that has been converted to a brooch. When held to the light you can see minor crazing in the background; this is only noticeable with both back lighting and magnification and cannot be felt at the surface.  Secure and working hinged pin and simple "C" clasp.  Gorgeous scene with incredible detail, contrast, depth and balance.  Stunning piece in excellent condition!
