Description
Up for sale is a very rare all-original 14" Wendy Bridesmaid doll by Madame Alexander, circa 1942. She has a five-piece composition body, light brown sleep eyes, and a light blonde mohair wig. She is marked "Mme. Alexander" on the back of her head. She is wearing her original outfit with all of the original accessories. Her ensemble includes a tagged pink satin gown (faded) with pink bows and an attached slip, matching satin panties, and cream tie-on shoes (the cardboard sole is missing from one of the shoes). Her accessories include a matching satin muff with the original silk flowers and the original silk flower headdress. Overall, the doll is in great vintage condition. Her original wig still has the original hair pins and face paint has only faded slightly. Her eyes open and close, but her lashes are short on one eye (see photos). Her original stringing is loose, but she will still hold a pose. There is a mark on her forehead which I couldn't remove. There are a few small pinholes near the bottom of her skirt, and one small hole about 1/4" long about 1 1/2" inches from the hemline (not pictured). See photos for details. Stand not included. Please look at my other listings, I am selling a large portion of my doll collection over the next few months.
