Estate purchase, as found. I did not find any maker's/manufacturer mark, but both pieces have a stamped '7' on them. I assume the mortar is made from some type of stone and the pestle from wood and possibly porcelain. Approximate measurements: 7" inside diameter, 8,25" outside diamter, 5" tall. The pestle is about 10.25" long with approximate 2 5/8" diameter at the largest end. Together, the 2 pieces weigh over 9 pounds prior to packaging.
