The pestle has some nicks on it, as shown in photo.
My father-in-law was a pharmacist and an antique collector. He traveled extensively. This mortar and pestle is in true vintage condition; they have been stored for over 40 years inside our home. Please review photos as they are part of the description.
I have a large amount of mortar & pestles for auction in my eBay store in various shapes, materials and sizes with patina and perhaps slight residue. This may need to be cleaned or wiped down to your satisfaction. Definite vintage (awesome!) condition.
